I have regularly in the past created series of photographs, but these have always been relatively small in scope (e.g. Stephanie and resistance, which I have in the portraits and models section).
However, in mid-February 2011 I had an accident resulting in hospitalisation and a protracted period of convalescence. In this period, as I had time to think about these things, the first idea for a larger, longer term series of images began to form (and will appear here in due course).
This also led me to think about other projects, prompted in part by other events; see for example, The 1953 Project, that I began in 2011. In 2012 I published the series What Lies Beneath. I’m currently working on a series on wind turbines and wind farms. There’s also a small project consisting of images near my house in Balfron, called Prayer for the Iona Community.
